Unveiling Trilby McClammy: A Journey of Faith and Inspiration

My
Story

Reading books has always and probably will always be my favorite thing to do. I can spend hours in a bookstore, especially a Bible bookstore. While I enjoy reading, and I did well-writing book reports in school, I don’t recall writing a book being one of my goals or dreams. However, when I was in the 10th grade, I do remember my English teacher telling me once "you could be a writer." I guess she was prophesying my future. I was fortunate enough to become the editor of my church’s newsletter in the early 90’s and wrote articles for that.

I have been in youth ministry faithfully serving the Lord for over 30 years. I currently serve as the Youth Pastor and the Superintendent of the Education Department at New Covenant United Holy Church in Durham, North Carolina.  I have been fortunate and gifted enough to write lessons for Fulfillment Hour (Sunday School) for the past 20 years.

In April 1996, I preached my initial sermon on healing from the two blind men account in Matthew 9. I went into full-time ministry in January 2000 after working in Duke University Medical Center for 15 years.  I am co-founder of Love & Power Ministry, a ministry dedicated to breaking the bondage of religion and tradition off the mind of people and bringing healing and deliverance to people through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In April 1988, I married my best friend, Toney McClammy, and we were blessed with three wonderful children, Chanelle, Danielle, and Toney Jr. We now have a son-in-law, Christian Dixon, five beautiful grandchildren - Christian, Aubrie, Lamar Jr, Carsen, and Amari.  I’m also blessed with a very talented goddaughter, Reyna Blyss Alston and two godsons, Rodriquez Turrentine and Dominique Martin.

I have written and published three books, “The Sky Is Always Blue” (2016), “Jesus Healed Them All & All Includes Me” (2020), and "A Pearl of Great Price" (2022).  These books were written to bring hope, faith, and healing to the readers. The first two books were messages I preached in my church and after some prodding from friends and the Lord, those messages became books. I joke with myself that "my tongue is the pen of a ready writer" from Psalm 45:1. Preach it, then write it.
